Frequently Asked Questions
How often?
Usually weekly at a time that we arrange between us, as meeting regularly at first helps to build a momentum. However, if this is not possible we can discuss what would work for you, as I appreciate that everyone's circumstances are different. You may choose to meet less often as our work together progresses.
How much?
£60 for a fifty minute session, but there are concessions available.
Where?
Earley, near Reading. Easy parking.
How long does therapy take?
This varies as it depends what you want to explore. It is often 6 - 12 weeks, but it could be for a longer or shorter time.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask that you give as much notice as possible if you wish to cancel an appointment. If it is within 24 hours, then other than in exceptional circumstances, I would charge you for the cost of the appointment.
What else should I be aware of?
I am a Senior Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Counselling Society (NCS). I am guided by their Ethical Frameworks and as part of their stipulation for good practice I have Insurance and undertake regular Supervision.
I am also a member of The Person Centred Association (TPCA), The Association for Person Centred Creative Arts (APCCA) and the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO).
